In today’s fast-moving ESG landscape, organisations are under pressure to report clearly, consistently and credibly. This practical two-day course is designed for managers and professionals responsible for ESG reporting, sustainability strategy and regulatory compliance.
Participants will gain a working knowledge of the CSRD, ESRS and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (S1 and S2) and, more importantly, learn how to turn these into effective internal processes and public disclosures.
With a focus on materiality, data readiness and cross-functional collaboration, this course bridges the gap between technical requirements and real-world implementation.
Day 1: Laying the foundation
- The ESG reporting landscape: who’s regulating and why it matters
- CSRD and the ESRS: scope, timeline and reporting obligations
- IFRS S1 and S2: global baseline for sustainability disclosures
- Double materiality: a practical framework
- Key reporting structures: governance, strategy, risk and metrics
- Aligning sustainability and financial reporting
- Case studies: how leading companies are responding
Day 2: Practical implementation
- Data collection and internal controls: getting your systems ESG-ready
- Integrating ESG into risk, finance and corporate reporting processes
- Using existing frameworks: GRI, TCFD, SASB and their links to ESRS
- Building your ESG reporting roadmap: what to do now, next and later
- Preparing for limited assurance
- Common challenges in reporting and how to overcome them
- Interactive workshop: apply your learning to a real-world reporting scenario
This course is designed to be immersive, practical and focused on implementation:

This course provides 16 hours of CPE/CPD credits.
